64Spots Chess Challenge – Fixtures and Results (First Round to Semi Final)

Here are the results of the first 30 battles from the first round (Round of 32) till the Semi finals. Most of the battles ended at the Rapid stage with 5 games from 16 in the first round going to Blitz and 2 games going all the way to the Armageddon stage.

All the games in the Second Round (Round of 16) and Quarter finals ended at the Rapid Stage.

The Semi final was a totally different story however as both games went down to the wire. One of the games (Afolabi Emmanuel vs Funmilayo ‘Trappatoni’ Feyikemi) ended in a stalemate at the Blitz stage and Trappatoni was declared winner having won the first Blitz game.

The second semi final between David Olatunji and Matan Adebayo went into the Armageddon stage with Matan Adebayo taking his spot in the final to set up a cracking final battle with Trappatoni.

The third place battle between David Olatunji and Afolabi Emmanuel would take place simultaneously with the final game at 1.30pm Nigerian time.
